What is Undergraduate Study?

Undergraduate study is the next step in your educational journey. It leads to a Level 6 qualification, such as a Bachelor’s or Honours degree.

There are many paths to get here, but most students enter with Level 3 qualifications, like A levels or their equivalent.

A typical Bachelor’s degree takes three years, progressing from Level 4 in the first year to Level 6 in the final year. Common types of degrees include:

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA Hons)
  • Bachelor of Science (BSc Hons)
  • Bachelor of Engineering (BEng Hons)
  • Bachelor of Law (LLB Hons)

If you don’t yet meet the entry requirements, a foundation year is a great option. This extra year helps you gain the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in your undergraduate degree.
